The cottage before restoration 2012.
The pictures show some of the work carried out at the cottage, it was completely redecorated inside and out, new blinds, furniture and equipment, some good insulation as well. The old pig house at the bottom of the garden had a great deal of work done to it, much work on the roof, electric fitted and a new concrete floor.
The asbestos roof was removed and a Cornish slate constant pitch roof was built, this enabled insulation to be fitted as well as raising the ceiling in the bathroom.
The driveway also needed attention and a new kerb was added to help with the rainwater flowing down the lane it also made it easier getting out of the car.
The garden took quite a battering during the restoration so needed lots of work to bring it up to standard.
This being a Grade 2 listed building everything done had to be in keeping with the existing structure.
See how this has changed now with the pictures after restoration –
